UX Optimization
Your product doesn't need another redesign. It needs to work better.
When a product starts underperforming, the default response is usually a full redesign: new screens, new components, new colors, new navigation. It's an expensive assumption, and it's often wrong.
A visual overhaul doesn't fix a UX problem, because the problem usually isn't visual. It's a confusing onboarding step. A form that collects more than it needs. A dashboard that forces users to dig for an answer that should be one glance away. A feature that works exactly as built, yet still doesn't match how people actually think and act.
What we optimize
We focus on the moments that matter.
-
Navigation
We simplify navigation and information structure so users can find what they need without having to figure out where to look.
-
Critical Workflows
We identify friction in the workflows that matter most to your users and business, then simplify the journey from start to finish.
-
Dashboards
We help organize dense information so users can quickly understand what's important and know what to do next.
-
Forms
We reduce unnecessary effort and prevent errors without removing the information your business needs.
-
Conversion Flows
We optimize key journeys where users need to take action—from signing up and starting a trial to upgrading or making a purchase.
-
Search & Discovery
We improve search and discovery so users can find relevant information, content, or functionality with less effort.
-
Mobile Experiences
We review your mobile experience to ensure important workflows remain simple, accessible, and efficient on smaller screens.
-
Complex B2B Workflows
We help B2B and enterprise products make complex processes easier to understand and operate—even when they involve multiple roles, permissions, approvals, and business rules.
Our UX Optimization Framework
Diagnose before we redesign. We use a structured framework to understand where your product is creating unnecessary friction.
-
01 Discovery
We learn about your product, business goals, users, and the problems your team is already seeing.
-
02 Audit
We examine the existing experience using UX principles, product context, and real-world usage patterns.
-
03 Identify friction
We map the moments where users experience unnecessary effort or uncertainty.
-
04 Prioritize
A long list of 50 UX issues isn't particularly useful. We turn observations into priorities.
-
05 Explore
Once we understand the problem, we explore possible solutions.
-
06 Validate
A beautiful solution isn't necessarily a good solution.
-
07 Implement & Learn
We provide practical guidance for implementation and help establish what should be monitored after release.
What makes our approach different?
We don't optimize for aesthetics. We optimize for outcomes.
A prettier interface is not automatically a better experience. Our work focuses on:
-
Clarity
Can users understand what is happening?
-
Efficiency
Can users accomplish their goals with less effort?
-
Confidence
Do users understand what will happen when they act?
-
Consistency
Does the product behave predictably?
-
Accessibility
Can more people successfully use the experience?
-
Business alignment
Does the experience support the product's goals?
FAQ
Is UX Optimization the same as a UX audit?
No. A UX audit primarily identifies problems. UX Optimization goes further:
Diagnose → Prioritize → Design → Validate → Improve
An audit can be the first step of an optimization engagement.
Do you redesign the entire product?
Usually, no. We prefer to focus on the areas where design can create the most value. A smaller, targeted improvement is often more effective than redesigning everything.
Do you need access to our users?
Not always. We can start with product access, existing research, analytics, customer feedback, and stakeholder interviews. If user validation is necessary, we can include it in the engagement.
Do you need our analytics data?
Analytics can be extremely useful, but they're not mandatory. If you have data such as conversion, drop-off, activation, task completion, support tickets, or user feedback, we can use it to strengthen the analysis.
Can you work with our existing design system?
Yes. We prefer to work within existing systems whenever possible. If the system itself is creating inconsistency or slowing down product development, we'll identify those issues as part of the engagement.
Can you work with our developers?
Yes. We provide implementation guidance and work collaboratively with product and engineering teams.
Do you use AI during UX Optimization?
Yes. AI is integrated into our workflow for research synthesis, analysis, exploration, prototyping, and repetitive production work. However, we don't allow AI to make important product decisions without human review.
Can you guarantee better conversion or retention?
No. And we won't pretend otherwise. UX is one factor among many that influence product outcomes.
What we can guarantee is a structured process for identifying UX problems, prioritizing opportunities, and designing improvements based on evidence and product context.
How long does UX Optimization take?
It depends on scope. A focused UX Assessment can take 5–7 working days. A UX Optimization Sprint typically takes 2–3 weeks. Larger product optimization projects can take 4–8 weeks or more.
How much does UX Optimization cost?
Our engagements typically start from $1,000 – $6,000.

Let's talk about what you're building.
You don't need a perfect brief or even know exactly what you need. Tell us what you're building, who it's for, what's not working, and where you want to go. We'll take it from there.
